(Arlington Youth Sports - Arlington, NE)

Ages:  Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.
Fees:  $60 Registration fee per wrestler, a $75 clothing deposit, a $100 Wrestling Volunteer Deposit and $200 AYS Fundraising deposit.

All registrations and deposits are due at the Parent Meeting.

Parent Meeting is Thursday, November 3rd @ 7pm in the Blue Gym.

Practice begins November 15, 6:30pm for returning 2nd grade and up.

Practice begins December 6, 6:30pm for all wrestlers.

Practices Times (usually Tuesdays and Thursdays)

• 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm for everyone
• 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm for advanced wrestlers (discretion of coaches)  

The wrestling season continues into March.  

Please drop your child off at the Blue Gym Entrance (by the south playground). Parents will only be allowed into the entryway to help get shoes on.

You will have the option to purchase a USA Wrestling membership provides an insurance policy to cover injuries to wrestlers. This membership is $15 and will be required if your child decides to compete at Districts and/or State. We will provide the information for purchasing this to you at the beginning of the season.  

AYS also offers Athlete Scholarships. If cost is preventing an athlete from being able to participate in ANY AYS sport, please reach out to any Board member on that sport's board. 

• The $60 registration fee covers a team warm-up shirt and entry to the Arlington Youth Wrestling Tournament.   
• A deposit of $75 is required for clothing, as we provide singlets and have wrestling shoes available. Deposit checks will be returned at the end of the season when singlets and shoes are returned in good condition.  Singlets will be handed out in early January before the Arlington tournament.  

• AYS Wrestling Volunteer deposit of $100 is also required to ensure parents/guardians help with the Arlington tournament. The activity deposit will be returned at the end of the season as long as tournament work duties were fulfilled. If a parent/guardian is coaching Wrestling, your family will not be required to fulfill the AYS Wrestling Volunteer requirement BUT will still need to fulfill the AYS FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER requirement.  

• AYS FUNDRASING Volunteer Deposit is $200. This deposit  will not be cashed if annual volunteer commitment is fulfilled. Fulfillment requirements are 1 Credit PER ATHLETE, per year, enrolled in any AYS sport. If you DO NOT fulfill your AYS FUNDRAISING  volunteer commitment, your AYS FUNDRAISING volunteer deposit check will be cashed!

By registering your athlete for AYS Wrestling, you agree to the terms of AYS Wrestling, Arlington Youth Sports, and any League AYS chooses to play through. If there are questions regarding volunteering, please contact AYS Wrestling at Wrestling@ArlingtonYouthSports.org

For practices, all students should have wrestling shoes or they will be required to wear socks.  There are some sizes of shoes on hand.  Appropriate clothing for physical activity is required, such as shorts and a t-shirt.  Jewelry, including earrings, cannot be worn.  For the safety of the wrestlers, all fingernails should be cut appropriately, and singlets washed regularly.  Head gear is optional.
